The Research Room is available for museum visitors interested in Genealogy and/or Texas History.  The museum is in the process of building a larger genealogy collection for our patrons interested in researching family history.  We were recently the recipient of a large Texana collection, the John Ben Shepperd collection, donated to the museum by Lee Public Library.  Due to the February 2021 snow storn that came through the area, the library roof collapsed causing quite a lot of damage.  During the reconstruction phase, and needing additonal space for an updated library, it was decided that the museum would be a perfect place to house the John Ben Shepperd collection thereby allowing more available space for an updated library.
